SOLD OUT! A Night in New York that Refused Explanation

In a city that moves fast, where everything is seen, shared, and replaced almost instantly, we chose to pause.

To gather.
To feel.
To experience something that refuses explanation.

For the launch of SOLD OUT!, the newest chapter in This Is Not a Blue Bottle, Histoires de Parfums hosted an intimate dinner in New York, our first event dedicated to a fragrance that does not reveal its notes, only its presence.

Held at Dilli Dilli, just steps from the pulse of Times Square, the evening brought together a curated group of editors, creators, and members of the fragrance community. Not to decode a scent, but to interpret it.

A Fragrance Without Explanation

SOLD OUT! is not built on the language of traditional perfumery.

No list of ingredients. No olfactory pyramid. No attempt to define what should be felt. Instead, it exists in states of being:

Top Note: Freedom
Heart Note: Confidence
Base Note: The Unknown

It does not describe you.
It reveals you.

And so the evening followed the same philosophy. Conversations moved between instinct and memory, between personal interpretation and shared experience. A fragrance that cannot be explained found its place in a room that did not try to explain it.

The Experience

The setting mirrored the tension at the heart of SOLD OUT!—between presence and absence, between desire and fulfillment.

An intimate seated dinner. A table of strangers becoming familiar. Moments that felt fleeting, yet strangely permanent.

There was no script, only perception. Because some things are not meant to be understood in parts, but felt as a whole.

The Guests

The evening welcomed a thoughtful mix of voices from across fashion, beauty, media, and fragrance, each bringing their own perspective to a scent designed to be interpreted.

The evening brought together a thoughtful mix of voices across fragrance, fashion, beauty, and media, each offering their own interpretation of scent. Sourabh Sharma of Histoires de Parfums of course brought together Lara Eurdolian, beauty editor, on-air host, and founder of Pretty Connected; Karina Bik, fashion expert and creator; Greivy Lou, beauty expert and creator; and Olya Bar, fragrance expert known for her nuanced perspective on perfume. With of course Christopher Flora, model, influencer and video marketing expert, alongside model Gustavo Sanches and influencer Bianca Lopez. From the world of fragrance and entrepreneurship, Tiff Benson, founder of Fragrance Society, and Barbie Patel, beauty expert and entrepreneur, joined Steven Gavrielatos, a respected voice in the fragrance community. Media voices including Sarika Mehta and Suzy Guttler added to the dialogue, shaping an evening defined not by categories, but by perspective. The night concluded in the company of the hosts themselves, with Dilli Dilli owners and serial entrepreneurs Abla Atoubi and Chef Gaurav Anand.


What Lingers

The night ended, as all moments do. But something remained.

A feeling.
A question.
A trace of something intangible.

In a world that constantly asks for explanation, SOLD OUT! offers something else entirely:
